Seeking Legit Rhodes Sounds for Nord Electro 6

ah ok ... so if i create a patch from lets say for example the Stockholm EP and put some effects and reverb on it and it sounds so good that i want to share this with someone, this would not be possible?

That would be a program/patch and it would only be sharable with other Nord keyboards of the same type/generation.

So if you did this on a NP5, then it would only be sharable with another NP5.

The base sample is sharable with pretty much any Nord keyboard (with some limitations for sufficiently older generations)

This, otherwise what you can also share is a description of your Program (which sample was used and any other relevant settings, like Dynamics, EQ, FXs etc...) in a text form, so that owners of Nord models other than yours can try to mimic it on theirs.

Is there maybe a known way to load these programs in some sort of tool/editor/software on PC/Mac just to visualize the Parameters? Then we could try to duplicate every sound which where we have no access to because of different Nord models/generations.

There is no official editor/viewer for Nord programs, only one made by a NUF user (you can find the link on the NUF home page) but it works only for NS2 and NS3, because every model has a different file format (and it is not public, hard and time consuming reverse engineering was needed for NS2/3 one)

This has to be one of the least-appealing aspects of Nord's marketing plan.

File format has nothing to do with marketing, considering that each model has some difference in its sound architecture and parameters, the file format is just a consequence of that. It is the same for other brands models btw, for example: can you load a Yamaha YC61 program into a CP88 or viceversa?

I would partially understand the complaint about the lack of an editor or at least a viewer (by Nord or a 3rd party, like john Melas tools for Yamahas), but this seems not to have been part of Clavia's plans so far, in fact.

The issue is whether each model NEEDS "some difference in its sound architecture and parameters." There is not a whole lot of difference between and Electro 4 and and Electro 6. I've owned both, and maybe smarter people than me can point out some sound architecture change that was made that I'm not seeing.

Well, there are quite some differences and if you can't spot them maybe you don't' really know your keyboards in depth enough (sorry, or you forgot your NE4 by now), if you just start from the fact that in NE4 is monotimbral with Piano and Sample Synth are 1 same section while on NE6 they are 2 distinct ones and each section including Organ can be active at the same time (with split/layer/external), then... no we can stop here, enough.

Side note: I did fool around with controlling my previous NS3 using MIDI parameters sent from an iPad using an OSC toolkit. It didn't take long to realize that the native control surface was so much better at visualizing and controlling the board.
