Hi,

not quite sure if I‘m on the right way but I guess you are talking about a sample which has a tremolo or leslie or vibrato implemented in it. This has the result that as soon as you transpose it its frequency changes, and this shortens the wave lengths, so the vibrato speeds up. The other way round at lower notes.

I think you can fix it by making the sample dry, without any vibrato, an add the effect from the effects section.

Good luck from frosty Germany

I assume you're talking about a loop with some tonal information. This is a function of how pitching across any sampler works: as a recording is slowed down, it changes pitch. So, to adapt a single sample to different pitches across a keyboard, it is simply slowed down or sped up to match the pitch.

What you're asking has TWO possible solutions:

1.) sample every key individually. So if you have access to the loop at the same speed in different pitches, you need to sample them each and combine them into a Nord sample using the Nord Sample Editor. If the loop is not available in different pitches, you need:

2.) Time stretching/pitch shifting. This has not been possible for long, and the Nord itself cannot do it. You must use a DAW or other program to shift the pitch of the sample without changing its speed, and then load those different pitches as individual sounds into the Nord Sample Editor to create an .nsmp file for your Nord.

There is also a handy program called Transcribe. You can load a .wav or .mp3 file and change speed without affecting the pitch. You can quickly edit a waveform. I use some time-based samples for some songs in my band, which plays everything a half-step lower than the record. I use Transcribe to lower the key and then load that file into the Sample Editor and assign it to a key.

This is also possible in Audacity in newer versions (I think > 3.0). Formerly the quality of pitch shift was really bad but in newer versions you can choose "Use high quality stretching" and the quality is quite good IMHO.

Without knowing if we talk about a sampled loop/backing track (chord or phrase) or a specific sound (with its modulations) it is hard to help in a specific way: maybe more details or sharing the sample here would be a good idea.
