Mono Note issue

Post by NordStageLeft »

I'm having an issue with my Nord Stage 3 synth engine that is hard to describe. I'm playing a mono lead sound with glide (the lead sound from Band On The Run). I am holding down the sustain pedal but because it's in mono mode it glides cleanly between the notes. But then when I take my foot off of the sustain pedal the note briefly slides up to the highest key that's been depressed during the sustain period. This causes a little swoop at the end of each sustained phrase.

Is there a way to alter how this sustain/mono behaviour works? I'm wondering how to avoid this without having to create some different workaround. I could design the sound with lots of release so it doesn't require sustain but the sound is really in a nice pocket right now. If there were a way to eliminate this issue where it slides up to whatever the highest note played in the sustained phrase was, that would be ideal.

Anyone have any idea? Thank you for any ideas!
