88 NS3 OLED burn

Post by tuejan »

So after many years of constant power on, my OLEDs have a fair degree of burn in. Has anyone changed them out, does anyone know who stocks the parts?

Thanks

For parts: https://syntaur.com/Part-9977-Display-Nord-OLED
or: https://www.synth-parts.com/en/search?s ... 2Boled&p=1

Haven't seen any DIY videos for the changing of the display, but once you get it open, it should be quite easy.
Here's a video og how to open the synth:
There are probably more/better videos available.

Be careful when loosening the flat ribbon cables, and don't rush the process
I'd recommend taking some pictures so you remember the placement of each cable.

Hi, Nik-

I had the same issue, the Synth LED in my Stage 3 Compact went completely dark. I purchased the replacement display here:

https://syntaur.com/Part-9977-Display-Nord-OLED

I then took it to a local technician and he did the replacement. Good as new now.

It is not something I would recommend you do yourself, as the display is not easy to remove or replace. Here is a video of the replacement on an electro:
