I recently purchased a roland integra 7 and i am trying to control it via midi. I have the out of the nord electro 6d going to the in on the integra and i see the midi light flashing when i hit the keys but i get no sound.
Can anyone help with this?

You have to have the integer and Nord set to use the same midi channels. Also, you will not be able to access any of the supernatural alternate sounds/inflections as there are no programmable controls on the 6d.
To really make good use of the Integra, you'll want to have something like a roland A500 Pro, or A49 midi controller/keyboard.

I've tried MIDI with Nord several times and gave up. It's not a happy marriage.

I used my Electro 3 as my only physical keyboard with a Roland XV-5050 for several years, before I replaced my XV-5050 with a Roland FA-07. The XV-5050 is an older version of the Roland Integra, and similar to the Integra the XV-5050 is just a module without any built-in keyboard.
I always used a traditional 5-pin MIDI cable (not USB) to connect my Electro 3 keyboard to my XV-5050. I would suggest trying using such a MIDI cable f you are not already doing so.
I don't know why you are having issues. Besides the MIDI cable type, I would check is to see what MIDI channel the Roland Integra is listening on - is it listening on MIDI channel 1, or MIDI channel 2, or other?
Once you get this working, I predict the Electro 6d will share one behavior in common with my Electro 3: If the program selected on the Nord keyboard is an Organ sound, it will send MIDI signals indicating full velocity key strikes, and if you are using this to trigger acoustic piano or electric piano sounds on your Integra, it will sound wrong. So you might need to select a sound type on your Electro that is in the same family of sounds you are trying to produce on your Integra.
By the way, the split capability on your Integra will blow away anything that is in your Electro 6d. You might not need to define any splits on the Electro 6d at all, but just use the split capability (when Splits are needed) for sounds produced by your Integra.
