NW2 does not support Soft Thru (if you check its manual you won't find any reference to it in fact), you need an external Thru box or use a different MIDI cabling/routing configuration of your devices.
What is setup and why would you need that Soft Thru? If you give more details maybe we can suggest other alternatives.
Thank you maxpiano for your answer. It is quite complicated.
I play with two Stages (NS2 and NS3) and use their extern sections to build a daisy chain and the Lead 3 (I use 4 expanders in addition).
It is working very well. But I replaced my NordLead 3 with the NordWave 2 and knew about Midi in and Midi out socket, but I didn`t know there is no Midi thru functionality. hm, still thinking how I best to integrate the Wave2.
But thanks for your help!

Well, if you want to keep the schema you had with NL3, as said you need a THRU box, otherwise in general you should put MIDI devices not having a THRU (like the NW2) at the end of the chain

I don’t believe the nord wave (or any Nord) supports transpose through MIDI (you could use a MIDI monitor App to check by seeing if the wave generates a MIDI command when you transpose the wave)
two alternate options
1. you can either store a program on the nord that is transposed
or
2. you transpose the notes from the sending midi device
