Synth section out of tune
Hi,
each sound from the synth section on my NS2 is out of tune, almost an half tone from the normal tuning. I've updated my OS at the 1.40 version, but nothing changed. There is maybe some setting that i can change?...really i don't know how to proceed

Welcome to the forums

Does the problem exist when the PStick is disabled for the Synth section?
I would contact Nord Technical Support at the following link:

Re: List of Nord Stage 2 known issues/bugs
I don't know if anyone posted it before, but I found that in dual keyboard mode, the organ percussion doesn't work. Is there a way to solve this? Thanks!

I've noticed a bunch of little quirks sporadically, but the two that come to mind are as follows. Neither of them can I repeatedly reproduce.
1) Sometimes after playing a piano sound, I'll get into a mode where if I just press and release the pedal, I'll get a huge string resonance noise. The noise comes upon releasing the pedal (no noise when pressing it). The noise almost sounds like if you were to bang all the keys with the pedal down so that you have tons of resonance going on, then release the pedal. Sort of that damping noise you'd get from the dampers on the strings. This has happened 2-3 times while not touching the interface, only playing the piano sound. To get out of it, I have to change to a different patch and change back, which fixes it.
2) Twice now, I've gotten the amp sim (playing a synth) where the "synth" light is on, but the sim is clearly not in the chain. Tweaking the EQ has no effect. Even cycling the amp sim on and off does nothing. As above, I had to switch out of the patch and back to get it back in the chain.
While I can't think of anything else, I feel like other little minor things have occurred that have contributed to my general perception of the OS being buggy -- anyone else feel this way or experience either of the above?
I have the same problem (pedal activating a string resonance) when using a piano in Slot B in Dual KB mode. I'm finding it very irritating and can find no fix for it - even a temporary one. Anyone found anything more out about this?

Re: List of Nord Stage 2 known issues/bugs
The output routing of the Organ does not work well. It is not possible to route slot 1 and slot 2 organ to different output pairs 1/2 and 3/4. Also if you want to route slot B organ to 3/4 (when synth or piano in slot 1) you must also route Slot A organ to 3/4 otherwise it stays in 1/2 (fw 1.60).

Re: List of Nord Stage 2 known issues/bugs
That's because Organ doesn't really have separated Slot A/B units: it is a single unit where Slot A=Lower manual and Slot B=Upper Manual (when used simultaneously) . It is by design, not a bug

Re: List of Nord Stage 2 known issues/bugs
Hi, I just posted this among other things in the whish list, but this one is probably a bug:
* NoteOff messages are not sent at all via MIDI when changing the program while holding down a key. It would be perfect to wait until the player releases the key even if its after the change and then send NoteOff (some companies implement it this way), but this way you get stuck notes. This actually happens very easy when you're playing with one hand and then switch to the next program immediately with the other hand...
Cheers, Dan

Re: List of Nord Stage 2 known issues/bugs
Hum, there's no board for Sound Manager related issues, right? I just came across one... moving multiple programs seems to have some issues when other programs are in the way. Normally it shows an error or swaps the programs if only one is selected.
However I've been reorganizing my programs after days of programming and suddenly half of my stuff is gone!! I've been moving maybe 20 programs at once and probably one of the target places contained a program already, but I'm not sure... it went very fast, the screen updated and here I am. Currently backing up the left stuff and crossing fingers that my last backup is not too far away, but this really is... not nice
I tried reproducing the issue by moving 5 programs forth and backwards, the sound manager seemed to mix up things sometimes. Program names changed, programs disappeared occasionally... I don't know what is causing it, but I never had a problem moving single programs.
Cheers, Dan
