Broken HP key
My heart skipped a beat today while rehearsing some big band tunes on my stage 3 hp... The G2 key suddenly went sloppy and almost unplayable! After some attempts to find the answer online, I decided to open it up and have a look at least. It turned out that the key hammer had broken off completely. Fortunately it was an easy repair with some glue. I hope it sticks...

Re: Broken HP key
I've had key issues with my previous Stage 3 and an issue with my Stage 4,all within last 12 months. one key became unattached at its pivot point on my current stage 4.I fiddled with it and managed to locate the key in the pivot.
So I have to say that the keyboard on these things are the weakest link.Everything else is fantastic.

Re: Broken HP key
Hi elektromin,
My NS 3 has also broken a hammer a week ago. I cannot find a replacement hammer. Did you look for an new hammer?
How is the glue holding?
And what glue did you use?
Regards,
Pieter

Re: Broken HP key
How about fixing it using a strong glue? I'm not sure if you can order a new key online....

Re: Broken HP key
Hello, this sounds and looks exactly like what happened to my HP76 last weekend. A sloppy key that is sitting slightly lower in the keybed. Are you having luck with the glue repair so far? If so, can you recommend what you used? Thanks!

Re: Broken HP key
Hello. These keys keep getting worse and I've popped this Stage 3 more than I once to keep replacing keys.
Question: Is there anywhere on Planet Earth one could order replacement keys for the Nord Stage 3? I have a weighted model and it seems everyone is out of stock all the time.
Are their any suggestions other than buying a replacement parts model off eBay? Are there any suppliers of this part?

Had you checked www.syntaur.com? https://syntaur.com/keyboard.php?keyboa ... age+3+HP76volumelab wrote: 29 May 2025, 01:36 Hello. These keys keep getting worse and I've popped this Stage 3 more than I once to keep replacing keys.

This discussion makes me wonder again...
One of the intentions to buy a Nord-Keyboard is to get the best available thing for a little (or much) more money. If the outcome is, that I cannot get any Keyboard-spare-parts after less than 10 Years (I would even expect within the first 20 Years) looks disapointing to me. Me as a customer with a Nord-Instrument expects available Spare-Parts, to keep my instrument lasting much longer, than till the successor appeares on the market
Just to tell something positive - I had a broken Key on my Nord also, but I was fortuned and the whole thing has been replaced under warranty.
Well - thinking about it, this is the result of today global mordern and effective optimized "Customer Service Structures", where any contact between the producer and the end-consumer is avoided at any price, the re-seller has not enough headcounts to really listen to the users problem and the sub-producer doesn´t offer spare-parts for longer than 24months. Well in this case it would also be the keybed-manufactuer to blame (whith whom I experienced during a spare-part-search issue, that all of my Calls and E-Mails to vansihed without a trace...).
... and thinking out the box, I would like to say:
Producers - think big! We´re all looking for any actions to save the planet?
Well, you can do something - make your things repairable and give us spare-parts!
