I need a little help answering a question.
I recently had my Nord Stage 2 fixed at a repair shop. After I still had some problems with not being able to enable pedal noise on Grand pianos and electric pianos. Clavia helped me by sending a particular file that fixed the issue.
Now I just want to make sure that the String Res is also working as it should. It works on Grand and Upright pianos and also on a single Digital piano sound “Ballad EP1 Med6.0”.
I can’t remember if String Res is supposed to work on Electric pianos or not. And I didn’t get to try the new 6.0 versions before my Nord Stage 2 broke and had to be repaired.
I searched the forum and the nordkeyboards website. I did find some stuff like this quote from the Nord Stage 4 manual:
“If a piano is selected that isn’t compatible with the String Resonance feature, this function is disabled. This applies to e.g. the small (Sml) versions of the grand pianos and uprights and the electric pianos.”
This seems to suggest that String Res cannot be enabled on the Electric pianos. But then again it can on the “Ballad EP1 Med6.0” for example. So, I was wondering if this might have been changed in the new version 6 samples. And pedal noise works fine on some Electric pianos as well (not the Wurlitzer though).
I just wanted to be completely sure if String Res is working on my keyboard or not, which I can’t check myself.
So, after this long intro my basic question is:
Can you enable String Res on Electric pianos? Like for example on the EP9 Stockholm XL 6.0.npno?
And just to be completely sure pedal noise also works as it should. Can you enable pedal noise on Wurlitzer samples?
Thanks for any help!
