Connect my 5D to a synth module?

I have an Electro 5D and want be able to use it as well as a synth module (a Deepmind 12) at the same time. Is there a way to designate a section of the Electro keyboard and send MIDI to the synth module? Just wondering if I can avoid using a separate MIDI controller.

Yes, take a look at NE5 manual, MIDI chapter, Scenario 2 "Sending MIDI on Part Upper in KB Split Mode" for related settings.
