Weird Sample Velocity issue

Post by reinski »

Hello - Last night as I was getting my NS4 gig-ready I noticed that that no matter what the filter/velocity settings, the orch string sample patch I played (in the synth section) was always slightly brighter when played harder (full velocity). Even after turning the frequency knob ALL the way up and trying every conceivable setting, the string patch always exhibited filter velocity sensitivity when played hard (obviously my filter velocity setting was off). All other samples did the same thing BTW. Weird! I have an NS2 and NS3 and never had this issue. Could it be a bug?? Maybe someone out there can tell me if I'm missing something. Thanks ahead of time!

Hi :)
Try "PITCH/SMP" button, then "NO DYN" setting
Does it work ?

Yesss! The PITCH/SMP button and turning the 3rd dial to "NO DYN" fixed it. I didn't know about those deep settings using the dial. Thanks so much Mattms!
