This new version 6.2 does not allow the soft release option for the NORDSTAGE 3 and the NORDSTAGE2

Thanks maxpiano for creating a new thread, I agree this is worth one. Let me repeat what I said in the other thread about the sonic differences:

I finally got round to check out the new 6.2 version of the Studio Grand 2 ... and made a direct comparison with the 5.3 version I already had. It's a very substantial and welcome upgrade indeed! Clearly it is the same piano, but the clarity has generally been improved and, most importantly, the one big weakness of the older Studio Grand 2 has been dealt with: all too weak octaves at the top. This new Studio Grand 2 shines in the top 2-3 octaves now - a joy to play.

A big change in overall character and playability. For me, the new Studio Grand 2 is among the very best pianos in Nord's library. Warm and mellow at the bottom, singing in the solo range and brilliant at the upper end. LOVE IT. Or, to put it in another way: definitely worth a try!

Awesome update on the Studio Grand 2 by Nord! They didn't say a word, and it's an unusual move, producing an XL version for one of the original series of samples who never had one before. I immediately dumped the Royal Grand 3D and the Pearl to make room for this puppy on my E6.

Here's hoping the Grand Lady D is next :)

Same here - No Soft Release on Stage 4

All new pianos that recently were updated in the Piano Library online don’t have the Soft Release option (Imperial, Bright Grand)
Im curious if it’s a software bug or some issue with the npno files…

I think it is a deliberate choice of Nord on some v6 pianos.

It's also strange that the update wasn't advertised on their website, but rather it's happening behind the scenes so to speak, with no clear indication of what's changed (soft release being one example).

I played both with headphones and on stage the old Studio Grand 2 Large and the new XL ... Personal opinion the old Studio grand 2 has more presence and is more airy, deeper ......, I was disappointed with them tried switching from one to the other....
????.....I don't know what to think.
