Apologies if this has specifically been covered elsewhere...
I have an Electro 6 running OS version 2.62 & using Nord Software Manager 7.7 on my MacBook
I am hoping to acquire a second (used) Electro 6 as a gig back up
Do I need to also get a second laptop running Nord Software Manager for this spare keyboard or can I run both off the same Sound Manager on the same laptop?
I appreciate both keyboards would need to retain the same Set Lists and Programs in that scenario
Additional question - if there is one, does anyone know of a way of running 2 versions of the Software Manager on the same laptop for 2 different keyboards?
Many thx in advance...

Re: Using Sound Manager with second Nord
Hi robski54,
welcome to the forum!
You don't need a second laptop, you can manage all from the same laptop with Nord Sound Manager. There is just one limitation, you can only connect one of your Electro 6 to Nord Sound Manager at the time, the software does not allow to have two connected to your laptop at the same time and switch between them from the software. So the way is to connect the first one to your laptop, start Sound Manager and after you have done your work for the first Electro just disconnect it from the laptop. Then connect the second Electro and Sound Manager will automatically recognize and connect to this one.
Running two instances of Sound Manager on the same laptop to work with two Electro's at the same time is not easy, the only way to do this is to setup a virtual machine on your laptop which runs another version of your operating system, and start Sound Manager in this virtual machine (which is like having a second laptop running), With this you can connect one of your Electro's to the system running directly on your laptop and the other one to the virtual machine, but that's a bit tricky
