This is a question about how to design a synth sound on the NS3 involving pitch shifting.
Imagine playing a chord using a standard warm synth brass sound. Now imagine using your pitch stick to start just below the target pitch and "scoop" up to it immediately after playing the chord. Alternatively, imagine using your pitch stick to "fall off" the starting pitch after you're done playing the chord. This is obviously a classic sound, usually achieved by using the pitch stick.
So here's the question. Is it possible to do this using the mod envelope, and not the pitch stick? I have a feeling that it must involve the "Pitch" single oscillator configuration, but I can't seem to get it to behave in the way I want. Is this because you can't invert the polarity of the envelope depth?
Any advice would be most useful! To get a sense of the effect I'm talking about, check out this video, where J3P0 is playing chords that fall off the target pitch. I'd like to try to achieve that without the pitch stick, for moments when both hands are occupied.
Thanks!

For sliding up, I have a program for Tom Misch's "Crazy Dream" where the notes played glide up to the proper pitch. LINK-> nord-stage-3-programs-ns3p-ns3pb-files- ... 16227.html
At this post, I have a program that allows the notes left of a split to be "bent down" by the Control Pedal and "bent up" with AfterTouch. LINK-> nord-stage-3-programs-ns3p-files-f32/cl ... ml#p119250

Re: Creating a "scoop" synth sound
Perfect! I think this is close to what I'm looking for. Will give it a try!
(Although, if I understand the method correctly, it appears that you would have to transpose the chord down four semitones in order to play in the correct key, right? I'm wondering if it's possible to set up the sound so that it begins below the target and slides up to chord being played on the keyboard.)
Also, could such a method be used to create a sound that slides down rather than up?
