I just tried both the Nord Grand and the Nord Piano 5 today at Sam Ash and they do feel pretty different. The Nord Piano 5 feels like my Piano 4, which is nicely weighted, smooth and consistent. Not exactly like a real acoustic piano, but in many ways easier to play a wider range on the softer side.

The Nord Grand is a bit closer to an acoustic piano in feel, but the key weight is definitely on the lighter side.

Both are fine pianos, but I like the key weight of Piano 4 / Piano 5 better.

Thank you everyone for your feedback. I understand "touch" is a subjective thing...I'm hoping to find a dealer or individual who has one of these units before I buy.

In terms of sound, although the sound library is the same for both pianos, the electronics/amplifiers used in each instrument could color the sound...does anyone know if they are the same amplifiers?

It can be assumed that the sonic difference between the instruments when using the same samples (if there is any at all) is negligible.
The sound is rather significantly more influenced by the external listening situation (amplifier, speakers, headphones, room situation), and of course also by the individual settings in the instrument (EQ, effects, volumes etc.).
