How to transpose by semitones?
How to transpose by semitones?
The Grand manual makes two mentions of transposing 'by octaves'. I want to transpose both by program and globally but only by one or more semitones not octaves. How do i do that?

The manual also mentions
- Transpose [on/set]: button for transposing up to +/- 6 semitones on per-program basis (p. 14 in the Program section)
- Global transpose in the System menu: with a range of +/- semitones (p. 22 in the Menus section)
- Transpose [on/set]: button for transposing up to +/- 6 semitones on per-program basis (p. 14 in the Program section)
- Global transpose in the System menu: with a range of +/- semitones (p. 22 in the Menus section)

Yes I had read these statements but no doubt I'm doing something wrong as I cannot get to select a particular semitone. I see the two octave buttons but they don't offer specific semitone change?

Re: How to transpose by semitones?
What you are looking for has nothing to do with the octave up/down buttons. There is a button "Transpose [on/set]". Hold this button while dialing the Prog/Menu knob. That's for per-program transposing. The global transposing is done in the System menu ([Shift] + [Program 1]) 3 - not with a specific button.
You are not playing through MIDI, do you? Then you need to set the 'Transpose MIDI at...' value correctly, as well.

Thanks I'll try it tomorrow. No not using midi yet as I cannot get the USB driver to load with Windows 11.
