NS4 analog mono synth lead sounds

Interesting! On my Nord Stage 4 Compact here the name is "Section" and not "Group". I was searching for "group" because this is a function on the Nord Wave 2 and I was disapointed that it is not there.

Yes you can put in a section but... The section will be related to all 3 layers from my understanding.
So you cannot choose to link only 2 layers and keep the last one indipendent... Or maybe it is possible?

That's interesting. I was assuming "group" could be set per-layer to group 2 or 3 of the synth layers, whereas "section" would appear to apply to all 3 layers only.

Later on in the Manual, those buttons are labeled Section, not Group. The Section Edit allows all edited parameters to affect the entire section. I don't know if this works in real time, or whether it can apply to just two synth layers. My guess is that it applies to all activated layers-

The sounds he's using are presets on the Stage 4, so you can have a look and figure it out. He also lists the patches used for each in the video.

I also think that it would be nice to have more vintage synth presets in the NS4 right out of the box. I guess in the near future people like synthcloud will offer commercial presets and I hope that we can find also useful stuff from other users here in the forum. I got the impression that something like a synth brass sound for Africa sounds better in the NS4 than the NS3. The FM Pianos sound a little better, but I think there is still room for improvement...

I mean… if it applies to all active layers only, it is already a good thing.
So the layer off should not receive such changes and you can manage it separately..??
