StefVR wrote:... Exact same key feel like my piano 5 ...
Interesting... as I am playing my NP4 and NS4 88 side-by-side every day for about one week, and they definitely feel different... pretty close though... but definitely different... the NP4 allows me to play more softly with a better "precision" so to speak... I was thinking the NP4 and NP5 were having the same keybed, but maybe not... anyway, thanks for sharing!
If i am not mistaken the nord piano 4 actually has a different keybed than north piano 5. May be this explains it.

I have (another) request for the S4 owners among us. Could you please check on the extern settings if there is any possibility to send MSB and LSB values for Programm changes?
If I'm not mistaken, you could do this on the S3 right? I couldn't find any entry on the S4 Manual about MSB LSB.
Edit: thanks to swampfox pointing out: Manual Page 61

You mean the 88 or 73 versión?
73. 88 Is available in Alfasoni but I want the 73! Do you know of a store that has it?
I believe we are in the same situación.
I was at alfasoni to test the NS4 three days ago, but I also would like the 73 version.
No way, they say it will be available in April.
Let’s see
NS4 73 / NS3 88 / MPC Key 37 / Minifreak / Aira S-1 / RME UCX2 + Audiofuse x8 IN / Samson Patchbay / MACBook Pro Max M3 / Push2 / Ableton Live Suite / Logic Pro / NI Komplete Ultimate Collector Edition / Soundtoy Bundle / Fabfilter Bundle

Only nord and real acoustic instruments give me this it just feels right from the first second feel. No idea if it’s latency related or who knows what.
That's great news! I love the action on my shorter NP5 as well, very enjoyable for me. Now I'm thinking the same but NS4. I also will have a few older Nords to sell.

I remember when I bought my NS2, the 'Bank A' factory programs were the same as 'Bank D', so you could delete Bank A and add your own programs without deleting (potentially interesting) factory programs. Is that the case with the NS4? Is there (some) room for adding your own programs and presets, without having to immediately delete factory programs and presets?

Probably, as it has been in the past; some NS4 user may confirm it but you also can check that yourself easily, just download the Factory Restore of NS4, rename+unzip it and see how many Banks/Programs are there compared to the total.
It may take some time until we have a clear and unanimous perception of the relation between the different key actions - mainly on NP 4/5 and NS 3/4.
Macsaint777 wrote:... the Piano 5 has a Fatar TP-40H, non graded action. All Nord Stage 88s, including the 3, and the 4 according to my sources, have the Fatar TP-40M action, although the in case of the Ns488, it has triple sensors.
I just received a PM from Macsaint777 concerning my question to please explain the nature of that knowledge. They are partly personal (by opening his NP) and partly from inside the business (concerning the NS), he says. Which sounds of course reliable.
Which would lead to the conclusion that improvements in playing experience might derive more from different velocity curves and/or included data from the 3rd sensor than from the keybed type. Just a momentary impression.
