Sustain per layer
Can someone please check me.
I'm here programing my Wave 2 and decided that I didn't want one of the layers to sustain. Old as the hills this need.
To my astonishment it seems that the Wave 2 can't ACCOMMODATE ME?!?1
If this is so, it's going BACK.
Thanks.

Re: Sustain per layer
To my knowledge the sustain pedal works on all 4 layers. I can't adjust this.
I use the KB hold function to overcome this. You can select which layers are active or not with KB hold.
It would be nice to have the functionality to choose which layer responds to the sustain pedal.

Re: Sustain per layer
Can someone tell me if it is still the case as of Today, that the sustain cannot be affected to a specific layer within a program.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Sustain per layer
This still is the case on the NW2.

Re: Sustain per layer
Thanks, I was thinking to add the NW2 to my Stage 3 but the sustain’s logic is not good for me.

Re: Sustain per layer
You can work around this by using the Hold feature on the layer you need and then adjusting the amp sustain/decay to get the effect you want-DanielD71 wrote:Thanks, I was thinking to add the NW2 to my Stage 3 but the sustain’s logic is not good for me.

No, it is the more the logic to not being able to choose if I want to have the sustain on a particular layer or not.DJKeys wrote:You can work around this by using the Hold feature on the layer you need and then adjusting the amp sustain/decay to get the effect you want-DanielD71 wrote:Thanks, I was thinking to add the NW2 to my Stage 3 but the sustain’s logic is not good for me.

On the NS4, the synth section has this capability for each 3 layers. I thought it was the case with the Nord wave 2 as well.
Thanks

Re: Sustain per layer
Hey Daniel, are you sure of this? The Manual says that the SustPed button activates sustain for the Synth section. Is there a way to apply this per layer on the NS4? It would be very cool if this was possible!
SUSTPED AND PSTICK
SUSTPED (Shift+Layer A) activates an attached sustain pedal for the
Synth section. Read more on how to configure pedals in the Menus
chapter, on page 58.

Are you saying that it is may be the same case on the NS4, if it is the case, it will be very sad…..DJKeys wrote:Hey Daniel, are you sure of this? On my past stages and stage 3, this functionality is like, normal… ?, we even have sustain on organ…which is great by the way.
I will ask on the NS4 thread,
Thanks,
Daniel

Re: Sustain per layer
I have the same problem. I bought a NW2 but I can't find a functionality like at the NordStages.
Has this already been fixed or is there an update or a hidden hint on how
(to set sustain pedal on/off for each layer)
If not, that would be an important point for an update.
Thanks
Helmuth
