None of the companies are perfect, and they all have varying degrees of customer responsiveness. The products are great for some, bad for others. I'm not sticking up for Clavia, but you, as the consumer, have the opportunity to vote with your wallet. Don't like what they're doing, move on.

I simply don't see the issue, or how complaining on this forum is going to change anything.
In other words:

IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, LEAVE.

HOWEVER - this website is presented as "forum" and not as a "fanclub." So while it's easy for some to point out the door to others who aren't here just to celebrate or ask about fixing a knob, it's also, well, kinda rude. It would be just as impolite to ask the cheerleaders to stop posting rebuttals on threads critical of Nord.

All voices should be welcome here, and not discouraged, whether or not one feels their viewpoints will change anything in Stockholm.

So I would change the above to say:

IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, TALK ABOUT IT

i agree. this place is meant for all sorts of praise and bitching at the same time. lets all revel in our abilities to do both... here, i'll go first...

pro: i like the pearl in the middle
con: i dont like how quiet the upper register is
pro: i like my nord electro 5
con: i am tired of playing pianos on semi weighted keys.
pro: i like playing organ and rhodes on semi weighted keys
con: why can't Nord make a board thats 23 lbs that switches from weighted to semiweighted when i push a button? we can cure polio but can't do this? Nord sucks.
pro: i like the white grand a lot and all of the various grands they provide. Nord rules

(pro-tip: always end on a high note)

I agree with you, Gambold, everyone should be able to express their opinion and criticize here. However, and I don't want to offend you, you often come across as if you are always looking for the fly in the ointment. In this respect, I also agree with Hlaalu's latest posts here - but maybe you just like to provoke to get discussions going ;-) ;)

I never said anything about not contributing to or leaving the forum. All I'm saying is that you have choices about which products you choose to own. Nothing more.

Careful - one gets called out for "certainty" around here.

Ditto "solemnity." Please say three Hail Clavias in penance....
So apart from all the rambling about samples being too old, too big and the rest, your latest hobby is to pick holes in non natives' command of English?

Let me fix that for you then: your comments don't scream certainty nor solemnity. They're just off-putting. Satisfied now with the semantics?

Everybody relax.

It's just a keyboard, and Gambold loves a good troll if you hand him the mic. It's all part of the mix here…

Oh, and "solemnity" is a perfectly cromulent word.

From another thread in this forum:

Gambold wrote: For your own use, practice, or solo/acoustic group work you are going to want to use an XL. Nord XL piano samples are the best ones around, and your investment in a Nord keyboard is maximized by using them.

So there’s still hope :D
