Hi!
I finally decided to join the Nord-family by getting an Electro 6d. The plan was to sell my Roland RD-800, but I really like the weighted keys and now I think about using it as an external keyboard for the Nord (and sometimes as second manual). I am positive that this would work, but what I don't know: Would the instruments remember the settings or would I go into the settings and assign the RD-800 as external Keyboard everytime when I turn it on?

external Keyboard (RD-800) - will settings be remembered?

Re: external Keyboard (RD-800) - will settings be remembered
Hi and welcome!
The External Keyboard setting is set and saved per Program on the NE6, it is not a Global setting.
So once saved in each Program no need to redo the setting every time, but on the other hand you have to edit the Programs where RD800 will be used as external master (some work, but 1 time).
Easier to do than describe how (for more details, you can look in NE6 manual for “External Keyboard to Lo” paragraph)
