Turn on synth section with pedal

Hi

I have a Nord Electro 6 and I would like if possible to turn on the synth section with a pedal. Preferably a sustain pedal as have a spare one.

Hi, that is not supported directly but if you look at the list of MIDI CCs on the NE6 manual you can see that "Sample synth Enable" is CC42.

So do do what you ask you would need a MIDI Foot controller box (e.g. MIDI Solutions Foot Controller) that can accept an on/off pedal and generate a MIDI CC #42 (or an external master to which you can connect that pedal and assign it to CC #42) and send it via MIDI on NE6D Global Channel.

PS: usually it is easier to use the Ctrl Pedal, to control the Synth section volume continuously, unless you have a specific use case for on/off
