3 Roland JX-10 samples

Post by Mark V »

Hi there, I'm new on this forum. Did some experiments with the Nord sample editor and made some samples of my old trusty 1986 Roland JX-10 (super JX).
They are samples of the originally factory programs "Polysynth, "Euphonium choir" and "Is this fat?".
The mp3 samples are the clean samples played on my Nord Wave2 with the ADSR set to 0-0-max-0

Great sounds - thank you! I still have my JX-8P from 1985 and actually ported over the main components for the IS THIS FAT JX-10 program during a period when I had an MKS-70.

Thanks for your comment. Something to keep in mind when I setup the JX10 again

The first few notes of this PolySynth remind me a bit of the Birdland synth bass !
As for the nsmp for those sounds, you can just reload your project (or reimport the WAV) in the Sample Editor and generate an NSMP in the options.

Thanks for the sharing !

No need to setup the instrument again and do all the procedure from the start.
Since you have the wav files and the Nord sample editor project, you just export to the older format.
