Delay - infinite delay/ use as a metronome?

Post by Johannes »

Hi,

the other day I wanted to use the delay as a kind of metronome substitute, programmed a small synth patch based on the white noise waveform and thought with the delay it would work (I remember having read somewhere official from Nord that the Delay could be used for that).

Basically what I found is that even with the Amount know at ten, it fades out rather quickly and moreover seems to change the timbre somehow. It would be nice if it were indeed possible to do a infinite loopes delay (In particular when thinking of the Nord Stage 2 with some drumsamples one could create a basic drum track!).

Now I know Nord changed the delay in one of the recent OS releases, and I though with the OS my NS came with (v4.something) there was indeed an infinite delay possible, not sure though.

Anyone remembers if that was possible with earlier OS releases?? If not, this would IMHO be a nice feature for a new OS!!
