Nord Electro 5D Screen went crazy and some buttons dont work

Hello!

I recently opened my Nord Electro 5D because I wanted to paint it blue (and I did).

When closing it back, the screen looks all the way upside down with weird cuts in it (see attached image), and some buttons do not work (On/Off delay, Piano Model Selector, rotary speed).

I opened and cleaned it all inside and don't see anything looking odd (I am kind of ok with diy stuff), so I am just looking for someone that could shed some light on the issue.

The rest of the keyboard works fine, I've been gigging with it anyway (just with some limitations) and sound, touch etc everything is OK!

My first thought: is everything connected properly inside the unit? Also just dirty contacts can cause weird behaviour.

Yes... Cleaned all the contacts and nothing

Try disconnecting and reconnecting again the ribbon connectors, making sure everything is properly sitting where it should. Judging from previous experiences from other users on this forum, that's the most likely cause to a behaviour like this.

P.S. we want pictures of the paint job as well.

Of course, it is also possible that this is due to the automatic defense mechanism of Nord, which is always activated when a color other than red is used ... then the screens are upside down.

Tried to clean all the ribbons and no luck, very strange cause nothing looks odd. I'll have to get it to a repair shop and see what they say... Thanks for the insights!!

It's probably not as easy as a connection that is plugged the wrong way round?
