6HP split midi?

Hi

I am thinking about buying a 6HP. I was wondering: can you use the lower part of the split as a midi controller for another synth while the upper part is the internal sound engine?

I couldn't see this in the manual.

Also, is it very bad timing to buy this now?

Hi, no you can only let an external keyboard control the Lower part of the NE6 but not viceversa. NE5 had this capability instead (on its Upper part) but it has not been kept on NE6.

NE6 always transmits full range on its Global channel, so if you want to use it as a master you need implement any split or more complex routing "on the slave side" (i.e the connected expander or computer/tablet or...)
