Using Dual Keyboard AND extern

Is it possible to use the dual keyboard mode as well as the extern section? I'd like to use a keyboard on top of the nord and have 2 manuals for organ sounds. But I'd also like to use the nord to trigger horn sounds from an external sound source. Any suggestions on how I'd do that?

Hey, no problem.
Just enable dual layer by pressing shift and panel B. Then you can choose whether to use extern section on panel a or b. You can also control two different external devices by transmit on different midi channel on each of the panels. Just remember to turn off all of the midi send things under the midi menu so this not override the extern section

just make sure the MIDI channels for the dual keyboard and the external section don't interfere.
deafult value for MIDI dual keyboard channel is 16...
