Do you keep the plastic cover on your pedal?

Post by kelpchofs »

I've seen that on other pedals too and have always taken them off.

OMG! AM I DOING THE RIGHT THING?!?!

No, I don't. It wasn't an easy decision, tough.

If you remove it, your pedal will get all scratched up and the chrome will wear off. If you leave it on, you have to look at the foggy, scratched up, butt-ugly plastic cover and can't even see the chrome underneat is nice and shiney, unless you remove it for aesthetic reasons and put it back when you play.

I think I'll go with shiney and somewhat scratched, so I don't have to cope with that plastic cap. The thing is meant to be used (says the guy who's afraid his Nord gigbag will scratch the paint on his NS2); if I wanted it to be pretty all day, I'd have put it behind glass under some good lighting.
