April is about to end, and no new product release.

Everything about Nord keyboards in general; which one to choose, the sound manager, sample editor, and general discussion about the sample and piano libraries.

True for some - but not for all ….

There must be something better to do than wait for some new thing to suddenly appear and make all tour problems go away. Call a friend, pick up your trusty keyboard and go have a jam. Maybe find a new friend.
This is the way to look at it. Use the instrument you have, delve into it, discover what it is capable of. It seems to me that there are a lot of Nord owners who really have just scratched the surface and don't really understand the architecture and power of their instrument.

Agreed, the latest batch of Nord instruments are so deep I cannot imagine why anyone is complaining so much.

I feel like I should clarify this point:
I'm not trying to express any kind of superiority, like I know better. Heck no. Over the last 3 years I've wasted countless hours looking for the thing, that will make me and my setup complete. Even though I know there is no such thing. And there are good reasons to buy new gear. That's why I bought a new laptop, and that's why I built a talk box. That's why I'm now saving up for proper amplification. The problem is that I then look for something I know I don't need. Like a new synth, or a slightly better amp simulation.

Before you start abandoning your Electro 6 for an Electro 7, ask yourself (and your friends maybe): If the current Electro 6 was the best there is, would it be good enough? If yes, you don't need anything better.

You're in a bad place if the only reason you need something is because it might exist.

EDIT: typos

Dear M1tsos, I have been owning and playing a NS2 88 for some years and never had a problem playing piano parts (not talking about classical music of course, but the usual pop/soul/R&B contexts where the Stage is commonly used); if you tried a few real pianos you know that each one is different, not all of them are "fast to get back" so the player has to adapt to each, this is absolutely normal. Having said that, keybeds are also a matter of taste, I still believe the choice of Nord on the Nord Stage makes sense for its general-purpose target and if someone's priority is a piano-like keybed should go for a different product.

Yes my friend i tryed around 15 different real pianos in my life and all of them is different in the weight it needs to press the key down.. but the return seems less diferent than the pressing down.. i agree with you after all at the end is taste.. so i wanted some more ketchup :)

For sure if we had the option before buy the instrument to choose the keybed i would definitely pay more for the kawai keybed from grwnd to nord stage 3 even the price was another 30% more for that

ouch.

You know, the conversation itself moved along quite splendidly with that contribution at the time…

Hi Gambold. I feel like you have terribly misunderstood something. My first post might have seemed hostile towards this discussion:

There must...
You probably did not read my later clarification:

This forum as I understand it, is a platform for open discussion. I felt like sharing my experience and my approach to gear issues would be welcome. I hope we can collaborate to resolve this conflict in peace.
