Nord Sample Editor 4

Post by Hannahkeys »

Hi!

I just installed Nord Sample Editor 4, connected my Nord Stage 2 with a USB cable (it connects), dragged the samples to the right keys en then hit the button: "Save and transfer to Nord". Then there appears: "Download Error". The settings are correct, I've read the manual thoroughly. What is causing this issue? I don't have a clue...

Thanks for helping me out!

Regards,
Hannah

Hey Hannahkeys,
does the error occur instantly after you dragged the samples or just after some time.
Maybe there is something wrong with your usb cable? Try an other cable and don't use a usb hub - connect directly from a usb port from your computer to your stage 2. Also maybe try a different usb port.
Another error source could be a security software so maybe if thats the case temporarily disable the antivir / firewall software.
Also maybe you have to update the firmware of your stage 2.

You see there are many error sources so a bit more info from your setup could help.

Hello, and welcome to the Forum! As suggested by ryanhardo, I'd load the latest OS for your Stage 2 if you have not yet, and see if that fixes the problem. Besides the other things noted, I would also suggest checking to see if you have enough free Sample memory to take the samples. Using Nord Sound Manager you can select "Samples" and view that section in "Organize" mode to see what space you have and delete samples you dont need if you need more space. While in that mode, you can also see if the NSMP file you created will load using the Nord Sound Manager. Good luck to you.
