Hi everybody,
I am about to buy a NE6D with a halfmoon switch. Simple questions:
1. does the NE6D still fit in its dedicated softcase, if the halfmoon switch is mounted?
2. if the answer to 1 is no -> how long does it take to mount/dismount the halfmoon switch? Are tools needed (screwdriver)?
Many thanks
Eumel

Morning, Eumel,
yes, you can leave it mounted, even if it then feels a bit tight at the left corner, but you better pull out the plug. If I was you, I‘d take it off which can easily be done cause the screws are made to be turned by hand, no tool needed. I would fear that the lever, the „mover“, could get damaged or transformed during some rough transportation.
Cheers from the middle of Germany
Forgotten: How long does it take? Not more than half a minute.

I leave it on, just pull out the plug every time (like Tasten-Bert). In my eyes, it's even the safest way to transport it as long as you're handling it yourself in the car. Never my NS3C gets covered with other gear on transportation - it's always on top of everything else.
If you don't transport it attached to the unit, you'd probably need a dedicated box.
