Dear Nord friends,
I play my lovely Nord Stage 3 in a pop band.
Our singer uses a TC Helicon Voicelive 2 and I decided to "automatize" our performance.
I connected the midi out on my Stage 3 and set the program change to call, every single program I use, the right patch of his voice processor.
Amazing, because we discovered that I also transmit the chords that make the choirs harmonizations basically perfect.
Last night we were playing and it happened something strange.
I always touch and edit my sounds during the rehearsals, and I moved the level (volume) of the organ in a program.
I don't know if it was the reason, but from that moment the program change is not working as before.
I call the patch 22 and the tc helicon goes to the 265 (or something like that).
Plus, the choir are no more working. Plus, his patches' choir chord are set on C (it seems reset).
Can anyone help me to fix this absurd thig?
I'm not an expert in midi, but I thought that sys-exclusive sent some unexpected signals.
Now I really need to repair the situation, since we are going to play in a concert soon.
Thanks in advace for your precious help.
Giuliano

Re: Stage3 > TC Helicon disaster
I don't think the Stage 3 sends any SysEx data. But I didn't verify.
In a first attempt, it sounds to me as if either your Stage 3 or (more likely) the TC Helicon got changed the program bank. MIDI PC (program change) only allows for values 0..127 as always in MIDI. If your Voicelive 2 got set to something like 265, there may have been a MSB (CC#00) or LSB (CC#32) command changing your program to something like 128 (next bank)+128 (another bank further)+22.
Is this possible?
I didn't understand the other problems. And I don't know anything about the Voicelive 2.

Re: Stage3 > TC Helicon disaster
Not sysex but for sure you are sending MIDI CCs when you touch the NS3 panel controls, you need to disable sending them in the MIDI Menu.
Then it is difficult to understand which CC changed the TC Helicon behaviour, my suggestion is to reset/restore it to factory/previous settings (if you have a backup) and try again with NS3 having CCs Send disabled.
