I'm not familiair with the external section and after a couple of hours trying I don't get it to work.
On the top is a Yamaha Motif XS and on the bottom a NS3. I want to use the sustainpedal from the NS3 to work for the Motif. How this is done with the extern section?

Are you getting the external section to play the Yamaha sounds? If so, and your issue is that you want the external section to send controller info (like sustain pedal) without playing the sounds, the info at nord-electro-forum-f9/how-to-setup-midi ... 11168.html should help - check "option 1" in my post from July 28 2021.
