Show-case: Rifle case for NS3 88

Post by battrfierd »

Hi all,

I'm using a Pelican Vault 800 case to carry my NS3 88. It's sturdy, it's got wheels, it can be locked, it's got 3 handles. Overall really happy with it.
You'll have to cut out the foam yourself, but it's not a lot of work.
Vault is the cheaper line from Pelican. The V800 fits the NS3 88 perfectly, and costs ~$200 here in the US.
Only downside is that I wish there was extra room to fit my pedals + some cables... The other one being that you look like you're carrying rifles.

Thought it might be helpful to someone on this forum if anyone is looking for a case!

Looks very nice and compact. I might be worrying the potentiometers might be harmed over time since they are touching the lid ? Perhaps cut some small holes where you can see they are touching the top lid, and adding a little bit support to the board at the ends. Perhaps thats what younare using the smaller pieces for?
I tried to search for them here in Europe, it seems like they are sold under the Peli name, but the cases I could find was very expensive. But I couldn’t dig up exactly your Vault model.

You're right that the knobs do touch the foam, especially those closer to the hinges. I think it's mostly ok (not a ton of pressure), though I might cut out a piece for the pitch bend. I agree that a bit of support for the keys would be great! Maybe adding foam to the lid that would cover the keybed once closed..

I’ve been looking at Pelican cases; have you flown with that one?
