NS3 anyone using extern with iOS synths

Hi guys, hope that everyone is doing safely well in this crazy times.

As we all know, ipad/iphone synths sounds great and I was looking for some to be used with the extern section of my NS3. Whilst I found a lot of amazing synths for Ipad allowing program change messages (iM1, Lay-r, all the synths of Audiokits), I am looking for synths having multitimbral capabilities that can be used in an iphone (smaller and easier to move than ipads).

Are you using any iOS synth with your NS3 extern function? Thanks in advance

I'm not sure what the question might be. Yes, I'm using a full iPad's worth of synths via the extern function [insert long list]. I'm using my iPhone as an x/y/z controller with the SWAM instrument. The iPhone control surface is too small for me to easily manipulate many of my iOS apps.

It's been a while thanks to covid, but I've used iOS synths quite a bit with the Stage 3 in the past. With AUM anything can be multi-timbral if you've got the CPU for it. I created patches in the Nord that sent program changes to AUM and then the AUM patches would load whatever I had designed for the song. So long as you don't need seamless transitions, it works nicely. If you do, just set up all the sounds you need on different channels in a single AUM patch and switch channels in the Extern section.

Personal favorite synths: Zeeon, SynthmasterOne. Between those and the Nord synth, I can do everything I typically want to do. Also, Eventide's Blackhole reverb was worth the purchase for me to use with these.

Other multitimbral apps that run on an iPhone include Thumbjam and Sampletank.

Thanks guys. Indeed Sampletank does the job. I will have a look to Thumbjam. If only Korg iM1 could run on an iphone... very good for 80's pads
