Don't get me wrong, I'm a happy NL4 owner. Just conceding this particular round.
The waveforms are one area where the A1 has an edge. I don't know why, but somehow the identical wave samples produce different textures in the two synths. I noticed this with the "E" sample bank too.
I know this is quite an old thread, but I just came across it and was curious if anyone had a link to Neo's "FM for Dummies" article? I tried googling but none of the results seemed to be the paper that Marlowes was talking about.
