Oldish piano patch.

Hi, I created an old-sounding upright piano sample starting from a Korg piano patch which was "aged" through a chain of effects (I fed the piano waveform to OSC1): since it's technically not out of tune, it serves its purpose without sounding too weird. There's some note stretching but it's only evident outside of the range of a five-octave keyboard (that is from C2 to C7). Sustain is relatively short but sufficient (somewhere between a harpsichord and a piano).

Quite interesting! Great approach and very usable. But some notes seem to be extra dampend in the beginning and then get clearer (like the first chord or at 0:09) - what's that?

That's probably because the first chord is actually a broken Dm chord played with both hands (D-A-D on the left hand, F-A-D on the right hand): since it starts on a lower octave and ends two octaves higher, it gives the illusion of being a single chord sounding more brilliant towards the end, when it's actually two. What I played is a slightly revised excerpt from an early Baroque piece (can't remember the author): it was common for harpsichordists to play broken chords even when not specified, in order to gain some sustain (since the harpsi's was extremely short).
