Leslie Sim Electro 4, 5, 6..differences.

Post by sagetunes »

Hi,
I have the NE4 and am not crazy about the internal Leslie. Is there any upgrade in the 5 ot 6.
Also, are there any other benefits to upgrading?
Thanks

The leslie sim was upgraded in the Electro 5, to the newer (and IMO much better) simulation from the C2D.

Hi,
there are some changes which make at least the generation 5 interesting to have a look at:
- piano memory increased to 1 GB
- better leslie and overdrive simulation
- keyboard split which enables two sounds playable in different key zones (or play two sounds layered)
Some NE6 users may be happy with seamless transitions of split sounds (which for me is not that important).
You may have a look at the nord website where you find the discontinued products under „legacy“.
Have fun, stay healthy everybody and sunny regards from Germany

If the above are not of major significance for you and the only issue is the lesslie effect, then you can always get neo ventilator.

Update: I've had the Electro 2, 3, and 4, and just bought the 6. I used the Vent v1 with the 4 and loved it. Yesterday I A/B'd the Vent vs. NE6 internal sim. I think I'm gonna be able to do gigs without the vent. This was not the case with the 4. Takeaway: The Leslie Sim in the 6 certainly is better, improved over the 4.

Good choice!
As analogika said in his post, the Leslie sim has got an upgrade from electro 5 on, so you have the up-to-date version. Have fun.
Cheers
