I consider to replace my NS2 with an Electro 76HP, or maybe a NS3. Can someone please, for dummies, describe the difference in action/touch/consequences of key weight between an Electro 6HP, a NS3 88,a NS76 and a NS2? Is it true that the NS 76 has equal keys with the Electro 6 HP, but different from the NS88?

What version of the NS2 do you have?

All the NS2/NS3 88 versions have full Hammer Action fully weighted keybeds (Fatar TP40)
the early NS2 HA76 had the same Hammer Action as the 88
The later NS2EX76 models had the HP keybed (Fatar TP100) - (i had one which unfortunately had issues, still miss it!)
NS3 76HP also has the TP100 keybed.

The Electro 6HP has the same TP100 keybed as the NS2EX 76HP

The HP action (FATAR TP100) has been discussed at length in a few threads before. Some love it and some can't seem to get on with it. Its not as heavy or authentic feeling as the fully weighted HA action and is a mechanism which has some compromises to save weight, but Its weighted heavily enough to feel 'weighted' like an acoustic piano and in my personal opinion as primarily a piano player its very playable and flows very nicely.

I'm on the same page as Kirsty.
The Fatar keyed isn't as heavy as a real piano, but the overall action is even enough to play expressively.
It's not the action itself that makes the expression or sound, it's the overall operation of keyed, sampling-quality, sensors interaction with the sampling, your playing-style etc.
I've spent several hours investigating and trying out a variety of weighted actions, and my experience and conclusion is that the Nord keyed is sturdy and well functioning, even though it's on the lighter end of the weighted scale.
