Nord Sound Manager Still Grayed Out

if you can't load piano samples, it just seems like a way for Nord to sell different keyboard types that are limited to a particular genre. I'm sure the electronics can handle it, but I guess they chose not to allow piano samples (and others I'm sure) for sales/marketing/product reasons.

It seems a bit arrogant to state something like that when this company has made so many products that can satisfy almost every musician's needs. To be more specific: There is the c, c2, c2d organs for those who like playing just organ, there's the Nord pianos and Grand for the piano players (they can support some samples also) there's the lead and wave series for the synth lovers, there is the electro's for organ, piano and sample playback, and finaly there is the stage series for those who want everything in a portable package. There are even different variations of the same model, with different keybeds targeting either towards piano or organ players. So the only reason for not including a piano in the C model is that there is the electro and stage models for that. And no, the electroncs of the c can not support the piano engine, the same way a lead can not support organ modeling. After all, everything is a matter of right choices that can only be made after some research.

All I ask is for a simple piano sound - sad I can't get it.

There is no chance that this product will be upgraded. If you need organ and piano, you may want to look into selling the C1 and buying an Electro-

Wow - passionate Nord group here . Rest easy folks - I received the C1 from a generous friend for FREE since he had to travel 4000 miles to a new home and couldn't take it with him. I'm new to Nord - Just wanted to know what I have, how I could get certain tones, and why I couldn't. Thanks Tracii - I'll check into that potential solution. Regardless, I can't wait to get some of those Hammond B3 sounds going! Thanks again all.
