Stage 2 USB jack - MIDI controller?
Stage 2 USB jack - MIDI controller?
Hello everyone,
Does anyone know if the USB "B" jack on the back panel is able to act as a conduit for MIDI information to a computer? Or is it just for downloading OS updates and sound library files?
Thanks,
David

The English manual tells you how to set MIDI channels - you can specify either MIDI or USB-MIDI channels (p. 44f). It will transmit and/or receive MIDI data and receive MIDI clock. You can mix MIDI and USB-MIDI channels for the different tasks (p. 50f). For a Win computer, you will need to install the Nord v.3.x USB driver:

...and it's a shame that the Stage 3 actually went backward in terms of MIDI implementation...
