NW2 - Keybed crackling noise - black keys only

Hello !

I own a Nord Wave 2 since a few months now and the more I use it the more I can ear a kind of crackling noise exclusively when using the black keys.

I don't know if this is the normal behaviour of nord waterfall keybed or if my unit is having an issue.

Would be grateful to ear your feedback about this.

what you mean isn't a crackling noise in the musical sound, but in the natural noise of the keybed, right?

Yes I am talking about a mechanical sound.

The output sound is just prefect.

Is this something normal ? I mean this is the first time that I experienced that kind of sound when playing.

Black notes are crackling first when initialy pressed, but also afterwards when being keeping pressed.

I 'd had similar trouble with NS3 C, and had to open it and lubricate all sharps' joints with syringe and special lubricant called "Protek" (used in piano technician field) . Being as a piano tech myself the job was not difficult at all. It all up to your technical abilitiesof reparing simple things.

Thank you for your answer. I^m just a bit surprised having to open up a 2.4k keyboard bought brand new after only 3 months...

Do you not have warranty? Opening the unit yourself will void it.

Does it say so in the manual? If you were to travel and needed change the voltage (some countries have more than one voltage, depending on the region) it would also invalidate the warranty... which makes no sense at all.
