Mac Catalina will not launch Nord Sound Manager

Is anyone else getting this error message?

“Nord Sound Manager v7.52.app” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified.

Is there a way to get around this?

As explained on Nord website

Note: On OS X 10.15 Catalina - when first launching the app, ctrl-click the Nord Sound Manager icon and select Open from the context menu.

Try this:

In the Finder on your Mac, locate the app you want to open.

Don’t use Launchpad to do this. Launchpad doesn’t allow you to access the shortcut menu.

Control-click the app icon, then choose Open from the shortcut menu.

Click Open.

The app is saved as an exception to your security settings, and you can open it in the future by double-clicking it just as you can any registered app.

After following the instructions posted, I ended up having to go to system preferences, security & privacy, general tab, and allowing the program to run from here. Nothing else worked.
