Hi Guys
New to Nord.
Looking at some of the samples available from sythonia and stuff and wondering how it copes with storing extra patches and samples? Is there much room? If so how much... if not how to expand it? TYIA

Re: Storage on 6D
All the specs are on Nord's website. The E6 has 512 Mb of sample memory, and all of it can be erased and replaced with your own samples if you want.
Just see how big are the samples you want to load, and check how many will fit.
Apart from commercial libraries, you can also make your own samples with the Nord Sample Editor, and keep in mind that Nord's compression algorhythm is very efficient: custom samples will only take up about 1/3 of the memory of the source .wav file you used to build them.
Unfortunately, there's no way to expand the built-in memory, and likely there wont' ever be (Nord has never offered this option).

Thanks. So - what is the fastest method to store programs to transfer to memory...ie... can I use a USB stick to put samples on and use them as required? It's not straightforward by any means to find this info. I thank you for your help so far and in advance
Cheers!

You have to use the Nord Sound Manager app, downloadable for free from the website (like the Sample Editor).FloydMD wrote:Thanks. So - what is the fastest method to store programs to transfer to memory...ie... can I use a USB stick to put samples on and use them as required?!
Ehhhmmm....it's written all over the manual and the website (and the manual is downloadable for free from the website)FloydMD wrote: It's not straightforward by any means to find this info.
