Please help choosing keyboard

My personal opinion, even if your main focus is always on the piano, I think you would love what you can add to it with the organ and synth in the Stage 3. Sound exploration can take you in many directions and in itself also be very rewarding. Once I retire I will likely get an 88-key, however I'm currently using the 76-key Stage 3 for the reduced weight moving it around. Good luck!

I hate to prolong this thread, but the thing I’m the most confused about Is which keybed I should choose. Choosing between NS3 and NE6 and considering: 1. I will get only one keyboard. 2.Piano is the main focus for now, but I will use other sound sections later. 3.Playing at home only with high quality/low amplification/headphones. => Should it be weighted, semi-weighted or HA? I’ll try to make it my last question. Thanks a lot!!

If you buy a SW and get used to it maybe it will be hard for you to play on a real piano if needed in the future, so HP seems a better choice. However I would suggest you to check them all at a music store to see exactly how it feels on your fingers.

At least Hammer Action HA, if not Nord Grand Keybed. I am a pianist myself with my own upright at home and playing various Grands on certain events. The inspiration your playing gets if the keys are able to „transport“ your feel is unbeatable. I see you in a way like this, that makes it difficult if it should be one keyboard only. Everytime I try a nord stage 88 HA I can not make friend with the aftertouch strip which makes the point where the key stops a bit unusual for me. Sorry. I can only recommend that you try them first.

"weighted, semi-weighted or HA" are not the three different available actions. When it comes to E6 and NS3 models, to put it directly:

* HA (Hammer Action) is the best weighted action. It's best for piano, and reasonably acceptable for much organ.

* HP (P for Portable) is a lighter-to-carry but worse quality weighted action. Adequate for piano, pretty abysmal for organ.

* SW (Semi Weighted) is best for organ, and barely adequate for piano.

I'd say if piano is the main focus for now, get the HA. Even when you start doing other things, piano will likely remain a high priority. Plus, it's better to buy for what you know you need today, rather than what you might or might not need tomorrow, especially if the latter means getting something that is actually *worse* for today. SW could make sense if you really expect organ to be at least as important to you as piano. HP is only preferable if you want a hammer action but frequently need to move it (e.g. to play gigs).

You can't play ragtime with the waterfall keyboard (if I understand well) . You need a weighetd keyboard.
HP is crap, so there is only HA. Nord electro have not HA, so you have to go with stage.
But the pro of Nords in general is that they are good for live, have overall good sound, and quickly programmable, and not to heavy. But, for me, they aren't the better solution to start, because they are pricey and the keybed action, also the HA, isn't as good ad other cheaper keyboard.
Kawai mp series, for example, cost 1/2 of nord and a have great piano action, and also piano sound.
