Long video on all NS3 presets - no talking
Hi, in case you haven't seen this one; as I don't own a NS3 (yet ?), it's intersting for me; it takes 3 1/2 hours to watch ... :
The author goes through many (all) settings, and states "it can do much more than just that". However, I do not know how the sound from the video compares to the real thing?

Re: Long video on all NS3 presets - no talking
Hi and welcome to the forum!
Piano sounds are slightly different depending on the keybed - the NS3 88 sounds different than the NS3 Compact when it comes to acoustic pianos as per my experience, I own both instruments. Synth sounds are pretty much the same like in the video, so do organ sounds, but all also depend on your speakers or headphones.

Thanks : )Schorsch wrote:Hi and welcome to the forum!
That's interesting. So it depends on the way the key is ore can be pressed in time?Schorsch wrote:Piano sounds are slightly different depending on the keybed - the NS3 88 sounds different than the NS3 Compact when it comes to acoustic pianos as per my experience, I own both instruments.

No, it depends on the velocity curve but also on the amount of dynamics a keybed allows. The acoustic piano sounds respond much better to the 88 hammer action than to the waterfall action of the NS3 compact, although the latter one is quite OK as well.stageCustom wrote:That's interesting. If you want to know how a NS3C is playing, you have to check it out at your dealer: You will get a clear impression of what it is made for. Wait another 1 or 2 weeks and maybe the music stores reopen. Or get one at home for testing.
I found that several dealers in Germany won't make a NS3C available for testing in their show rooms but tell you to test the key action of an Electro 6D 73 SW (or 6D 61) instead - it's got the same keybed and gives a good impression.
You will find that a NS3-HA88 is made for acoustic and electric pianos, not so much for organ or synth, a NS3-76 HP is made for max. mobility (you have to see yourself what you like to play most with it) and a NS3C (73SW) plays fine with organ and synth sounds, still fine for electric piano and OK for acoustic pianos (but not totally convincing, because velocity is not as well controllable as you might want). I love my NS3C, but I play the piano sounds via an external keybed with hammer action.

The (Unofficial) Nord User Sounds Collection at https://nordusersounds.com/ has a lot of examples to listen to. If you sort by USER and go to the ones I've posted, you'll hear what I've put together with MP3s recorded directly from the Stage 3 to my laptop. Good luck!

Thanks, but as other members already experienced, there is NO code in my profile, unless I upload a sample. So, registering is unlikely, listening impossible ; -)WannitBBBad wrote:The (Unofficial) Nord User Sounds Collection at https://nordusersounds.com/ has a lot of examples to listen to. Don't care about the "code" - you won't need it to register. It is just meant for those who already posted sounds - to synchronize the two logins. You won't need to be synchronized, but that doesn't mean you can't enter. You can. I already pleaded to change the help text, but maybe it wasn't.
