Purchased STAGE 3. A problem is in editing a new sound ..... often it doesn't save. I am forced to switch off and on again starting again.
Note: I have installed new update 2.22
Was same for me until I understand that I'm in Song mode. Maybe same for you?
Actually I like the Song mode to prepare my setlist, but if you quick want to adjust a program setting you need first to exist the Song mode...
Hello,
at the moment, control/morph pedal sends and receives MIDI CC 11, and swell pedal sends and receives MIDI CC four.
But when control pedal function is set to morph plus swell, could this setting be reflected in the NS 3's MIDI behaviour, so that an external MIDI pedal sending CC 11 could control both at the same time?
Cheers,
JPR

When a note is struck twice in succession on an NS3-HA88, the second note appears to be played at full velocity regardless of how hard it is struck. This applies to both the piano and synth sections.
I was able to re-create by playing C#4 using the White Piano XL or a sine wave in the synth section with Velocity set to 3.
Here is a link to a YouTube video that shows the problem at the 5:10 mark.
The person doing the review is a bit dramatic with an apparent axe to grind with Nord, but it is a good representation of the issue.
Hello
Did not know about this. I was able to reproduce it with my NS388. It took some time to reproduce it.
I tried it on my NS288EX and I was able to trigger it the same way. I did not know that I had it on both. I’m really not bother by this because I never heard it....on my two stages...
Does Clavia really said it was an issue cause if it is, they could probably fix it on both 88 stages. I no longer have my NS288. Maybe somebody could try it.
Regards,
Dan
Have had the NORD Stage 3 since Late Nov. 2019. It is my secondary keyboard (I have 9 keyboards, but my KORG KRONOS is my workhorse, and the NORD is my other weighted 88 key board for situations where I need a 2nd rig). So, I'm a serious working musician. However, it hasn't been out of the studio except for one gig in December, so no road wear, since I purchased it. All of a sudden, out of the blue, F3 is making a loud "clunk" sound upon release. Again, it's just been sitting on it's stand being played by me (a classically trained pianist who doesn't bang away at it...).
I know you don't want complaints (which I find telling) but quickly, for the price, and for all of the hubub about these being "handmade" (which I don't believe for a second) I would expect this keyboard to perform AT LEAST as well as the KORG which I have had Zero issues with and have read nothing about others having issues. And it does about a thousand things the NORD can't, and costs a thousand dollars less than the NORD. But I'm reading all over the place about there being "out of the box" issues with this board. NORD needs to do a LOT better than this if they are going to charge what they are charging and be as "proud" of their product as they are.
With the introduction of Numeric Pad navigation, it says that the "page" buttons now work as "bank" buttons, even the manual says so -- which would make a lot of sense.
Nevertheless, in my NS3 88 (RevB 5.1 -- maybe this is why), this doesn't happen. With either Page or Numpad navigation, I still have to press Shift plus "page" to move between banks, which is annoying.
I personally enjoy Numeric Pad navigation and would like to see this fixed -- I bet it doesn't take long for them to program.
I do not know if this issue has been posted before. I am sending Program Change messages from cubase 8 pro to my stage 3 via usb and then from the external section a "Send on load" program change to a microfreak synth through midi. When I attempt to change a program, it causes both of my devices connected via midi to start flashing uncontrollably and get stuck (no button response). This does not happen when I set the external section's "send on load" to off. I think this might be some kind of accidental loop I might be creating but I am also posting here after trying to eliminate the problem for hours to no avail and hoping somebody knows if this is a known bug or something of my doing. thanks
My guess: If you "send on load" a program change, it will also be sent back to your Cubase host. If that is in loop-back mode (likely) it will send another program change to the NS3, which then sends one back to Cubase, ad nauseam...
So you may have to filter out those program changes in Cubase or maybe try to use a separate channel for your microfreak, or some such.

That is probably the problem. The question here is why does "send on load" send out a pc message through the usb when the external section is strictly for connecting through midi cables? Unless you can also control an external device with the external section through usb as well?
These users thanked the author Arsenio for the post:
The two connectors USB and DIN MIDI are treated equal in the NS3; they always send out the same information and react in the same way to input.
You may for instance want to use the external section to control a soft-synth. I believe some people use e.g. Mainstage or Ableton or other such solution to add to the sonic palette, and you obviously want to connect your host computer via USB instead of hauling out a DIN MIDI interface just for that.
So the current behaviour makes sense to me and is probably useful for many with soft-synths
