I tried 5 different cables, all giving similar results. Also tried them all on an Onkyo amplifier, all my mobile devices and a few Bose speakers. No moving around or crackling.
When I go to my NS3C, if i slightly touch the cable or connector I get problems. Sometimes even the weight of the cable hanging down.
I will contact the dealer and get it sorted. Kinda sucky but not a big deal.

Re: Monitor in port is loose
for clarity sake, may I ask if the actual socket mount to board is loose, is it just wiggling in the socket (jack to socket?) if it's the later of the two then it's a contact inside the socket that grabs the shoulder of the jack, It's happened to me on a few instruments, opening up and using a plastic pry tool to gently move the contact point more to centre of the socket has helped. I'm not advising this here as I don't wish to be blamed for a user's attempts to fix if the equipment is under warranty.
One suggestion I'd like to give, no doubt echoed here, Would you kindly consider better quality cables? these thin, iphone like cables are not a good idea and the connectors need to be more robust. find decent 3.5mm cables with decent barrels on them as they in part help with the cable's weight on a connector.
