Can I transfer wav files to my nord drum 1?

Hello I'm new to midi dumps and if possible would like to dump some 80s wav samples into my nord drum 1 but I don't have any idea how to go about doing this. Is there any way I can do this? Also what programs will I need? I have windows 10

No, that is not possible, none of the Nord drum models can load samples, it's 100% synthesis..
You can try to replicate the 80s drum sounds by tweaking the parameters..

If I understand the manual correctly, the MIDI dump functionality on the ND1 is specifically for installing OS updates (latest v1.08) and restoring the SysEx Factory Bank (latest v1.04 revA). You can find the OS updates, the FSB, and the manual at the link below. I hope this was helpful!

Hi Dave,

Yes, it is possible to transfer data to the Nord drum with sysex MIDI dumps, but as you say, in case of the Nord drum, that is only to transfer banks, programs or operating systems, not for samples or other digital audio, the Nord drum does not support sample playback.
