NORD LEAD 4 USED AS MIDI KEYBOARD

Hello, I've got LOGIC PRO X, just got a NORD LEAD 4 and I'd like to use it as a midi keyboard that plays the midi sounds of logic without any audio from the NORD

I can not manage to have any sound out of it, is there anything I need to change on the NORD LEAD 4? cheers

See manual https://www.nordkeyboards.com/sites/def ... on%20H.pdf at page 46 "Sequencing: Global MIDI Channel": check or set Global Channel to 1, connect NL4 to the Mac via USB then set Logic X instruments channel strips to use that MIDI input (NL4's) on that Channel.

If you don't want any sound from NL4, set Local = OFF in the MIDI menu (manual page 44) or create an "empty" Program.

When I'm using boards just as midi key I usually simply turn down the volume knob to zero on the board.

OKAY I am so confused as I really do not know how to use the MIDI programm on the NORD LEAD 4, I see there is written MIDI in the programm section but I don't know how to access to the local off, when I press SHIFT I can go to a different menu but what's the manipulation to do? because I still have no sound even though in LOGIC it's set up as midi out 1

is it normal that the OCTAVE SHIFT is off? I'm not able to switch octaves

all good I just had to keep shift on and keep the right octave button on and the LED changed color

You should read the NlL4 manual first... all of it...
(and try what you read while reading, you will learn a lot and stop wasting time by trial and error, same applies to Logic X),
